Victorian Garden Series
Michelle- When I
started this piece, the
inspiration for this
color combination was a
mystery to me.  Later,
as I walked to the
grocery store and
passed a collection of
small businesses, I
realized the buildings
were in these colors!
Sometimes things
register on a
subconscious level and
rise to the surface like a
bubble, when I least
expect it.
The bases was created using                                     . The next step was to connect all the components of the piece. The
bases, the two connecting strands which connect the bases to the Sterling Silver center piece and the straps for
connecting the clasp were all connected. I connected the bases to the center piece with Soft Touch and crimps. Once I
am sure the base of the necklace is secure, I begin the embellishment. The center piece was designed by Bill Rerich of
Pegasus Imports.  Beaded Embroidery was used to embellish the bases and the Spiral Weave was used on the
connections. This composition includes Sterling Silver focal bead, Swarovski Crystals, Czech pressed glass and seed
beads. Power-Pro beading thread was used (10lb.- embellishment, 20lb.- base) and Soft Touch beading wire for the
connections. This piece features an extender clasp which allows it to adjust from 16in. to 20in. Dyane
